At Nexis Construction, we pride ourselves on being more than just a construction company. We are visionaries—creators, and most importantly, we are a growing team that has a passion for building. Nexis is a handyman service specializing in roofs, gutters, soffits, windows, doors, siding, carports, concrete, home additions, drywall, and much more! With years of home-building experience, we have carved a niche in Indianapolis, having worked on some of the city’s most exquisite homes.
Who is the owner, Mike Schafer?
Mike Schafer grew up on the south side of Indianapolis. His family later moved to the western suburbs of Chicago, and he graduated from Batavia High School in 2002. He took building trades classes in high school, where he helped build two houses. After high school, he served his Country in the U.S. Navy. After completing his military service, Mike worked as an Operations Manager for Carrsun Furniture Rental, a furniture rental company.
Mike’s introduction to building, construction, and repairs began as a young boy watching his grandpa and father, from whom he learned quite a bit. His father would always tell him he asked a million questions and would limit him to just three! Mike was a Project Manager at Cassetty Builders and Seacoast Building & Design in Florida before launching Nexis Construction.
Mike and his wife, Morgan, have three beautiful daughters: Audrey, Ava, and Allie. Mike is the quintessential “girl dad.” He is an outdoorsman and enjoys camping, fishing, and golfing.
